We built our club from nothing to one of the leading clubs in the u.k.
Mistakes? We made a few – but then again, too few to mention... What we did right and, OK, what we did wrong too. Take advantage of our experience in building a very successful Padel Club.
1
Location
The first part of the project was to find the perfect location, we spent a long time looking at a few options – but spending time researching the area was vitally important. Decide what is important for your club and who you are trying to attract. This will give you a great idea on if the location is right for you.
So far we have picked perfectly.
2
secure your future
Make sure any deal you make with me the patch of land you’re acquiring if you’re renting/leasing. Too many people negotiate a length of contract too short and don’t give you or your staff the security that the club will stand the test of time. this needs to be a big part of your initial business plan.
We secured a long term deal from the start.

3
Planning Permission
Take time to get to know this process, this can be invaluable going forward, and take time to learn about lighting reports, noise reports and any other vital information. Getting this right early can mean a simple process for any expansion down the line.
After giving a well informed speech at the planning meeting, so far we have had no hiccups with planning consent!
4
Groundworks
When you find a location, maybe an old hard tennis court for example, it is not guaranteed that you can just ‘stick a court on top’. We learnt this the hard way!
The condition of the court and seeing if the area is level is vital, we learnt how important it is to make sure the area is ready for a court or if additional groundworks are required. We can advise and assist on this – don’t make the mistake we made.
After having to re-do the groundworks at our first location, this was very much a lesson learnt!

Your groundwork is the foundation of your whole club – get it right!

Court construction
Don’t be drawn in to paying over the top pricing for the courts. We have some of the very best suppliers partnered with Go Padel Club – who are not only some of the best in the world but will educated you on every aspect on how to find the exact right court for you.
From the moment we began working together with our suppliers it was lessons learned and a real education gained!
6
The Launch
Make sure that before you launch your club have a marketing plan and budget. Pre-marketing and advertising are so important! Don’t forget the power of a good website and social media. Offline, build a list of interested players before you open, this means your ‘open weekend’ will be a huge success!
We offer superb packages for clubs looking to launch the club, with:
- Coaching
- Exhibition Matches
- Events/Tournments
- Coach Education
This one – We smashed from the start! 3 years on we have a busy thriving club at the heart of community and we can’t offer anymore memberships!
We are full, so for us it’s time for expansion!
